Breaking out the bubbly at St. Pat’s party

IRISH DANCING – The McConnell Irish Dancers worked with aspiring youngsters following their performance. But, before that, it was time to break out the bubbly (below).

BUBBLE WRAPPED – Luke Struss (left) and Teaka Voodre are encircled in a massive bubble by Karlheinz, AKA The Bubbleman, at Saturday’s St. Pat’s party at the Shamrock Centre. Hundreds funnelled through the Shamrock Centre for the festivities, which also included Irish dancing, balloon making, fire truck rides, live music, green ice cream, cotton candy, a bouncy castle, and a whole lot more. Keep scrolling to see more photos and to share them.

BUBBLES ABLAZE – Karlheinz even set his soapy bubbles ablaze to the amazement of the crowd.

BRUSH DANCE – The McConnell Irish Dancers cleaned up in a packed hall with their performance.

COTTON CANDY – Cotton candy was a popular addition, and, like the ice cream, it was green.

SLIDIN’ DOWN – Jump around, jump around, jump up, jump up, and slide down.

FOYER FIDDLERS – Fiddlers entertained the masses in the Shamrock Centre’s foyer with a variety of fiddle favourites.

FUN FIRE TRUCK RIDES – Firefighters toured families around town in their fancy green fire trucks all afternoon.

TASTY TREETS – Children were able to decorate their cookies with as much Irish icing and sprinkles as they wanted.

SLEEPY CLOWN – Sleepy the Clown earned the right to rest, making dozens of amazing balloon creations for the kids.
