Christmas in Killarney coming back to town

Hot chocolate, the colourful Santa Parade – and even a special visit to meet the man in red himself – it’s all coming back to town on Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3.

It’s Christmas in Killarney, and after missing the last two years of this downtown celebration, due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, there is a lot to look forward to.

The Killarney Kinsmen are holding their annual Santa Parade on Friday evening, starting at 7 p.m., and the dressed up floats and cars will be heading south from the Shamrock Centre and all the way down Broadway Avenue.

And from 6:30 to 7 p.m., to keep people warm and cheerful before the parade begins, there will be free hot chocolate handed out (supplied and served up by Paterson Crop Inputs) by the Meyers Norris Penny building.

The next day, on Saturday, December 3, it’s Visit with Santa time at the Shamrock Centre, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sponsored by the Shamrock Centre, Boundary Co-op, and Life’s Echoes Photography, there will be more hot chocolate, hot dogs, and a chance for a photo with Santa himself.

Black Friday sale event starts next week – Great sales and deals will abound in the town starting next week, and officially on Friday, November 25, with the annual Black Friday event.

Watch the signs, the ads, and more to find out where to score some Christmas bonanzas this festive season.

SANTA PARADE A HOOT – The Killarney Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade was a real hoot in 2019, the last year it was held due to COVID-19 restrictions. It’s back again this year, rolling through town on Friday, December 2. See the Christmas in Killarney poster below, and come out to enjoy a festive weekend of fun!
