Christmas in Killarney kicks off tonight!
Tonight’s the night to kick off Christmas in Killarney, with entertainment in the mall, and a festive parade down Broadway with the big man in red at the helm.
‘One Man Band’ Lyle Baldwin takes the stage at Killarney Place shoppers mall at 4 p.m., playing his slick set till just before the parade at 7 p.m.
At 7 p.m. the Killarney Kinsmen Santa Parade will ‘Light Up the Night’ down Broadway Avenue, winding its way back down Williams Avenue.
Free hot chocolate will be handed out on the street, just before the parade (from 6:30 to 7 p.m., by the MNP building, across from the Post Office).
There’s also a Shamrocks’ game down at the Shamrock Centre following the parade, when Killarney will take on Carberry at 8 p.m.
Then on Saturday, December 2, it’s the Last Chance Christmas Market at the Shamrock Centre from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a delightful assortment of 34 vendors, makers, and bakers to help wrap up some Christmas shopping.
The Killarney United Church is also hosting the U.C.W. Baking Sensations Tea on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with hot coffee and scones on offer for $10.
Plus businesses all over town are rolling out the deals and ready to cater to all your festive needs this holiday season.
And don’t forget, you can also purchase Killarney Booster Bucks at Lewis and Jones, which are bucks that will be spent here in town, and make a nice gift.
