Top Terry Fox fundraising school walks again
2021’S TOP TERRY FOX FUNDRAISING SCHOOL BACK AT IT – Killarney School was recognized last year as being the top fundraiser in Manitoba for the Terry Fox Foundation. Kindergarten to Grade 12 students and staff from the school were back at it this Wednesday afternoon (above), walking through the streets of Killarney to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Both Killarney and Boissevain School were recognized for their fundraising efforts in 2021. Between the two schools, they raised $16,000 at their last Terry Fox Walk, with Killarney School raising $8,500 and Boissevain School raising $7,500. There’s still time to donate to this year’s cancer research campaign. The deadline for donations is Monday, October 3, and they can be dropped off at the Killarney School office or sent with a participating student. View more photos from Wednesday’s walk below.
