Awesome fun at Beach Fest

It was a pile of fun at this year’s Beach Fest, say organizers.
“Friday evening was awesome at the golf course,” said organizer Stephanie Outhwaite. “It was hot, and we had lots of little kids dancing at the family dance from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. And Bubble Soccer was really popular. Everyone went home happy.”
Six foursomes of volleyball participants had it out on the sand on Saturday, while 20 baseball teams battled across the road, and there was plenty of fun for the kids of all ages at Erin Park.
“Saturday we had tons of kids and families out enjoying the inflatables, the sand castle building, and at the Dance Trivia, the floor was big,” she added.
The winners of the beach volleyball competition were Team Outhwaite and Friends, consisting of Stephanie Outhwaite herself, her husband Terrill, fellow Killarney School teacher Kendal Jonsson, and their friend Robbin Fontaine from Winnipeg.
Baseball winners were the Master Batters, who beat Where My Pitches At 7-6 in the A side final. Last year’s champions, the Boissevain Brewers, won the B side.
