Hard-hitting action at Rippin’ & Roarin’ Bull Riding
HARD LANDING – Bullfighter Jordynn Swanson (right) gets ready to protect cowboy Tyler Robertson as he flies headlong toward the dirt at the Rippin’ and Roarin’ Bull Riding on Saturday night in the Shamrock Centre. The bulls bucked off everyone but the very last cowboy, Steve Maddison of Brandon, who walked away with over $1,800. The winning bronc rider was Kirk Thompson of Oak Lake who took home close to $2,000, while Cole Chapman of Brandon was the top junior bull rider. With over 800 people in attendance, it was one of the biggest bull/bronc riding events that Killarney has hosted since they started 10 years ago.

VICTORY LEAP – Steve Maddison dismounts after being the only cowboy (besides novices) to stay on a bull for eight seconds.

YOUNG AND WILD – Just holding on in the wild pony races.

SECURITY! – Security was glad they didn’t have to intervene when this unruly bull “Dirty Vibes” hopped up to take a look at the crowd. He eventually settled down and back into his bucking chute.
